Student Representative, Creighton University School of Pharmacy
Shayna Skokan is originally from Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Healthy Lifestyle Management and is currently a PharmD candidate at Creighton University, Class of 2023. Shayna has worked at an independent pharmacy as a technician in Sioux City since 2016 and now works as a pharmacy intern at Hy-Vee Pharmacy in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She also works, on an as needed basis, as a research assistant for Creighton University's Center for Health Services Research and Patient Safety department since 2016. On campus, she is a member of SSHP, MCCP, Jays for Pediatrics, APhA-ASP and is a co-chair for Operation OTC Medication Safety. Off campus, she is on the volunteer advisory committee for the Stephen Center, which is a homeless shelter and addiction treatment center in Omaha. Shayna is interested in exploring the integration of pharmacy and lifestyle medicine/whole person care. She thinks being a part of this organization is a great way to network with other students and pharmacists, while also learning more about the field of pharmacy.
